Overview

Skawahlook First Nation is a small, close-knit Nation of approximately 100 members, located between Hope and Agassiz in the Fraser River Valley. Our lands are largely open and accessible, and our highway location supports connection, opportunity, and economic development. Our economic initiatives include the Ruby Creek Art Gallery, which shares Indigenous art and stories with those travelling through our territory, as well as a large hall and banquet facility that brings people together for gatherings and community events. We are a progressive First Nation working together toward a shared vision of a healthy, proud, and prosperous community for present and future generations. With a small office team of approximately seven employees, we value collaboration, mutual support, and shared responsibility.
