In fall 2026, Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation (LSCFN) will open a new Women and Children’s Emergency and Transitional Housing Program for female identifying and gender diverse Citizens and their children who are fleeing intimate partner violence and abuse. The program will provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive living space where residents can rebuild their resiliency, reconnect to their culture and traditional practices, and live a life free from harm in which they can thrive.
