Manager of Development Planning

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of current land use planning and development application services for the CVRD's electoral areas, ensuring compliance with legislation, bylaws and Board priorities.
• Providing leadership, coaching and direction to a team of professional planning staff while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing and customer‑focused work environment.
• Overseeing the review and processing of complex development applications, including Official Community Plan and zoning amendments, development permits, subdivision referrals and related planning matters.
• Providing strategic planning advice and preparing reports and recommendations for senior leadership, the CVRD Board, committees and commissions.
