Equilibrium, a Climes spin-off, is India's leading climate-tech company (backed by Sequoia India, now Peak XV), facilitating large-scale financing into building and scaling nature-based carbon sinks in the Global South. The company originates and aggregates high-quality projects that include a combination of nature-based solutions like agroforestry and regenerative agriculture. With an aim to make carbon projects bankable, the projects are designed with an emphasis on technology, robust research and expert implementation partnerships. With over 100K farmers in the pipeline, and 150k ha; designated for these projects, Equilibrium is building a pipeline of about 1M carbon-credits annually. By prioritising permanent carbon removal, Equilibrium is creating impact that ripples through ecosystems, economies and communities.
