Job Description
Responsibilities
Preparation of Budget and Forecasts including estimation of future expected loss ratios. Building meaningful reports on actual vs planned premium projections and claims experience. Implementing risk mitigation and governance controls for the team. Leading a team of two actuarial analysts and managing their performance reviews. Supporting corporate actuarial processes as needed including actuarial valuations and FCT.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Actuarial science or other quantitative area of study
- Acquired or working towards Fellowship with the Casualty Actuarial Society, Canadian Institute of Actuaries or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial experience including relevant people management experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with MS Excel (VBA) and other programming languages (e.g., R/SAS/Python)
