Maintenance Worker

Overview

Join our team at Castlegar and District Hospital. We are seeking a Maintenance Worker to support maintenance of the facility in the Castlegar area of British Columbia. Under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor (or designate), you will help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform trades duties at or toward journeyman level in areas such as electrical, plumbing, and painting.
• Construct and repair walls, doors, floors, ceilings, and windows using materials such as drywall, wood paneling, and floor coverings.
• Design and build furniture, cabinets, desks, tables, and shelves to enhance functionality and aesthetics of the hospital.
• Assist with minor building renovations and general maintenance tasks, including plastering, painting, and decorating.
