Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

Position: Maintenance Engineer (Contract). Working 8am-4pm with occasional coverage of a 2-10pm shift if required. The contract will continue until about October. Compensation is £20-30 per hour, PAYE plus holidays. Location: Flint area; commutable from South Wirral, Deeside, Wrexham, Chester and Holywell.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance on Check Weighers, Flow Wrappers, metal detectors, conveyors and cutting machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical failures involving bearings, shafts, rollers, pneumatics and other production equipment.
• Assist with electrical fault finding on related machinery.
• Maintain engineering stores and parts, ensuring availability for production needs.
• Work with other engineers to improve the preventive maintenance system.
• Manage own workload proactively and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
