Job Description

We’re looking for experienced Mainframe COBOL Developers to join a federal government initiative kicking off in early February. You’ll be part of a collaborative scrum team, contributing to high-impact IT projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, document, and maintain complex COBOL programs

  • Apply agreed standards and tools to deliver quality outcomes

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and lead peer reviews

  • Support documentation and knowledge transfer

  • Participate across the full development lifecycle
  • Requirements:

  • Strong COBOL coding capability (Mainframe)

  • Australian Citizenship (Baseline Clearance required)

  • Ability to work onsite in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Canberra

  • ITIL foundational knowledge

  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments
