Mainframe Backup Administrator

We are hiring a Mainframe Backup Administrator to manage and maintain the integrity of our mainframe backup and recovery environment. You’ll be responsible for day-to-week backup operations, tape lifecycle management, and supporting disaster recovery activities to ensure data availability and compliance with SLAs.

• Manage and monitor daily mainframe backup operations using CA 1 (Tape Management System).
• Ensure successful execution of scheduled backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Validate backup logs, reports, and error messages to ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Perform tape operations and manage the full tape lifecycle, from allocation to offsite storage and destruction.
• Execute mainframe backups using ADRDSSU and FlashCopy.
