Job Title: Machinist II

Summary

Sets up and operates machines to make and repair metal and other material parts. Reads blueprints and instructions to produce quality parts that meet required measurements and standards.

1st Shift 7:00 am -3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and punch presses.

  • Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.

  • Measure parts using precision tools to ensure accuracy.

  • Select and install proper cutting tools and materials.

  • Make, modify, and repair parts, tools, jigs, and fixtures.

  • Maintain required tolerances and quality standards.

  • Perform basic shop math to calculate dimensions, speeds, and feeds.

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
