Logistics Operations Manager (U.S. Import & Forwarding Focus)

Overview

• Oversee end-to-end logistics processes including shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery.
• Manage junior logistics team members (including virtual assistants) and ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Ensure shipments comply with U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulations.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays and customs holds.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, brokers, warehouses, and carriers.
• Interface with clients to provide shipment updates and resolve concerns.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems and workflows.
• Generate performance and KPI reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in international freight forwarding/logistics operations.
• Deep understanding of U.S. import logistics and compliance.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and duties.
