Job Description

The Local Dispatcher will be responsible for the day-to-day dispatch and coordination of a fleet of 10–15 semi tractor-trailer units. This role involves managing local pickups and deliveries throughout the GTA, ensuring service commitments are met, and maintaining clear communication with drivers, customer service, and customers.

Pay: CA$55,000.00 – CA$70,000.00 per hour ($26-31 per hour)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch and manage a fleet of 10–15 semi tractor-trailer drivers

  • Coordinate and optimize local pickups and deliveries within the GTA

  • Monitor deliveries to ensure on-time performance for time-sensitive shipments

  • Communicate proactively with customer service and/or customers regarding delays or service issues

  • Periodically enter and update orders in the Transportation Management System (TMS)
