Job Description

Valedoorn Farms Inc. (7062 Whelpton Road, Agassiz, BC) is hiring a Livestock Foreman for its cattle division.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reports on the health and condition of farm operations.
  • Give instruction to staff and perform general farm duties.
  • Follow Government Dairy regulations in the sterilization of milking systems.
  • Support and control biosecurity measures.
  • Handle large herds and breeding programs.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in a farm setting, including raising young cows and recognizing health problems.
  • Good knowledge of husbandry and biosecurity.
  • Agricultural or college background and good knowledge of English.
  • Ability to work nights and weekend shifts.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Starting Wage is 22.00 per hour.
