Literacy Coordinator, anonymous recruitment

Overview

We are seeking a literacy coordinator for the period from September7, 2026, to October31, 2027. The City of Vaasa has received project funding from the Finnish National Agency for Education to develop a municipal literacy strategy. The goal of the project is to create a sustainable model for managing and coordinating literacy work, which defines responsibilities, structures, and collaboration methods, and ensures systematic development of literacy activities across administrative boundaries.

The project will define monitoring and evaluation principles, establish a cross‑administrative literacy network, strengthen multiliteracy in various municipal functions and services such as youth services and adult education. Staff participation in strategic work is also an important part of the overall effort.
