Basic Roles of a Liquor Clerk

• Offer and assist customers in finding his/her needs
• Provide recommendations and alternatives to customers
• Greet customers in a friendly manner
• Restock shelves as needed
• Assist in unpacking and stocking weekly deliveries
• Understand and use the POS system to perform tasks such as inventory checks
• Perform opening and closing routines
• Ensure the store is clean and orderly by performing basic housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Work as a team with other co‑workers to complete daily tasks

Requirements of a Liquor Clerk

• Must adhere to provincial liquor laws as outlined by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (laws are learned through obtaining the provincially mandated Serve It Right certificate)
