Linux/Unix Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced Linux / Unix Engineer to join a major IT/OT transformation program within the electricity distribution sector. This is an initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension. You're expected to be on site 2 days, with 3 days in office or WFH.

This role will see you supporting approximately 500 Linux environments while also contributing to the build and uplift of a new platform. It’s a hands-on position requiring strong technical capability, particularly across Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across 500 Linux environments
• Contribute to the design, build, and deployment of a new platform
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise Linux/Unix systems
• Work within an IT/OT environment supporting critical infrastructure
• Engage directly with stakeholders in a fast-paced, client-facing setting
