Linux System Administrator (Bogotá)

Work type: Remote (Colombia-based, open to Colombian citizens only).

Contract: Permanent with a 2‑month trial period.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00, CST. Colombian holiday calendar observed.

Salary: COP 90‑100million per year plus perks package.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and manage Linux-based systems in physical and virtual environments.
• Manage shared drives on Linux servers (CIFS, NFS, Samba).
• Maintain access control and implement security policies according to corporate standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for OS and infrastructure, including hardware and firmware maintenance.
• Create and maintain backups and participate in regular disaster recovery testing.
• Plan, test, and upgrade Linux operating systems to supported versions.
• Detect, document, report, and resolve system outages or operational issues.
