The role involves preparing ingredients and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards in a high-volume kitchen. Responsibilities include food preparation, station setup, cooking, plating, and quality control, as well as maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance. The position also covers inventory management, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.

Key duties include:

  • Preparing and cooking ingredients according to recipes.
  • Ensuring proper food storage and monitoring inventory (FIFO method).
  • Maintaining clean, organized stations and complying with hygiene standards.
  • Supporting team members and communicating special orders or concerns.
  • Documenting incidents, inventory, and operational issues for reporting.
  • Participating in continuous improvement and innovation in menu execution.
