Responsibilities

  • Set up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture. Ensure that the pool furniture and area are clean and safe.
  • Warn of unsafe activities and enforce water safety policies and pool regulations
  • Provide first aid in the event of injury, rescue swimmers in danger or distress and administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary
  • Assess conditions for safety and come up with an action plan for aquatics emergency
  • Inspect pool equipment, facilities and water to make sure they are usable and safe
  • Open and close the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours
