Job Description

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is hiring for the position of per diem Lifeguard! Availability during early mornings, evenings and weekends is highly desirable. 

POSITION DESCRIPTON:

Supports the Alfond Center’s department of Aquatics by: 

  • Ensuring the safety of all facility users 
  • Implementing all emergency and rescue procedures
  • Enforcing all pool rules
  • Opening, closing, and maintaining the pool
  • Notifying the Aquatics Director of maintenance needs

    • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age 
  • Must have current American Red Cross or YMCA certification in:Lifeguard with CPR/AED for the Professional RescuerFirst Aid

    • • Availability of 5 hours per week for scheduling purposes

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

    • Ability to pass a Lifeguard skills assessment as administered by the Aquatics Administrator
