Position Overview
The Stollery Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at Sturgeon Community Hospital (SCH) is an 8‑bed level 2 NICU supporting the Labour and Delivery unit at SCH and accepting babies from other NICUs in the Edmonton Zone. The NICU operates under a Family Centered Care philosophy within an interdisciplinary team model. This role is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering safe, effective, and efficient care for level 2 neonatal patients.
Responsibilities
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, following hospital and provincial policies and nursing care standards. You will provide safe, high‑quality, patient‑ and family‑centred care while applying critical thinking, problem solving, and decision‑making skills in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, and organizational values.
