About the position

The Library Branch Officer will assist in the day-to-day operations of Muswellbrook and/or Denman Branches. To assist in the provision and promotion of quality customer focused programming and services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the library, maintain equipment and supplies
  • Issue, return, shelve, and check library items
  • Respond to customer enquiries in-person and online, including complaints and inter library loan requests
  • Support library programs, displays, and promotional activities
  • Manage branch administration including mail, statistics, dispatch preparation, notice boards, newspapers, and signage
  • Accurately process and receipt payments (cash, EFTPOS, credit card), reconcile revenue, and handle general banking tasks
  • Assist with collection maintenance and end processing of library materials
