What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Associate, General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will provide representation, guidance, and advice on Aecon's on-going projects, primarily in the Nuclear sector.
What You'll Do Here:
Legal and risk review of construction contracts.Review and negotiation of project agreements, design agreements, and subcontract and supply agreements in Bid-Build, Design-Build, EPC or Alliance frameworks.Provide legal/commercial advice to project management teams and business unit leaders on a broad range of legal issues affecting the business, such as, legal and commercial risk transfer, tender law, legal entitlement to extra time and compensation, procurement, labour grievances, employment, etc.Liaise between business unit leaders and external counsel on claims and litigation files.Actively manage and give instructions to external counsel on claims and litigation file...
