Lead Platform Engineer

Role :

As a Lead Platform Engineer, you'll embody a blend of strategic vision and hands-on engineering, contributing to and influencing the strategic direction of the Database Engineering Program. This role involves approximately 40% architecture and 60% engineering functions. You'll build strong partnerships with management, potentially overseeing operational or strategic initiatives and providing crucial team support. You'll also be a champion of the Mastercard Way, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.

In this role, you will:

• Provide expert administration for production, pre-production, UAT, and development database systems, specifically with a strong working knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Design and optimize the database tier for our global systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
