Elevate warehouse efficiency as a Lead Hand with Manitoulin Transport. This full-time role involves supervisory duties, freight handling, and ensuring safety protocols.
As a Lead Hand, you will work three 12-hour shifts each weekend, starting at 10 am. Your primary responsibilities include loading and unloading freight, managing various tasks, and aiding co-workers. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining operational flow and adhering to safety standards while also covering for the foreman when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload freight utilizing electronic devices
• Document shortages, overages, and damages meticulously
• Mark materials with clear identifying information
• Arrange freight for maximum trailer space usage
• Maintain safety standards and cleanliness in the warehouse
Requirements:
• Previous supervisory or lead hand experience
• Forklift operation experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
