Impact Dynamics is the critical domain in aircraft engines as it correlates directly to design and certification. The Impact Dynamics Tools and Methods team is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining state-of-the-art tools and platforms that enable accurate impact dynamics simulations and analysis. The main objective is to provide GE engineers with robust, automated tools for pre-test predictions, design optimization, and certification by analysis, thereby minimizing engineering tests and building confidence with regulating bodies.

This role focuses on developing and maintaining customized impact dynamics tools, workflows, and platforms that integrate CAD, meshing, explicit dynamics solvers (LS-DYNA), and post-processing capabilities.
