Layout Designer

Position Overview

Giffen Consulting Ltd. (Giffen) is looking to hire a Layout Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual to join us on a full‑time basis in our Vancouver or Toronto office. This is a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical layout concepts and drawings for mining, heavy industrial projects, and utility projects
• Participate in all stages of design from feasibility through to detailed engineering
• Perform 3D mechanical modelling and layout design using AutoCAD and Plant 3D
• Develop conceptual layouts based on preliminary information and PFDs or P&IDs
• Integration of vendor equipment models, point cloud survey data, and existing facility as‑built information into the design
