Role Overview

This role is a Law Clerk – Insurance Defence, Accident Benefits and Tort in the Legal Claims Department, based in Toronto, Mississauga, London, or Ottawa. Weekly hours may fluctuate depending on business needs.

Compensation

• Annual salary range: $74,800 – $91,400 (based on a 35‑hour workweek).
• Annual bonus target: 7.5% of base salary, with potential payout up to double the target.
• Employee Share Purchase Plan and pension offerings available.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and LAT forms.
• Review productions and provide counsel with pre‑discovery or pre‑hearing production lists.
• Prepare, manage, and review undertakings.
• Arrange Independent Examinations, retain experts, and prepare expert briefs.
• Provide paperless briefing and document summaries for Accident Benefits and Tort matters.
• Prepare for trials and arbitrations.
