Laundry Worker

Summary This position is located within the Environment Services Division of the Bath VA Medical Center. This position is under the direct supervision of the Laundry Supervisor or designee. This position performs clean and soiled linen processing, uniform processing, linen collection, and data entry of linen counts. Work is regularly performed by hand, push carts, feed linen into machines (conveyors, folders, ironers) for finish processing. Responsibilities The Laundry/Linen Worker executes full range of linen activities in patient and non-patient care areas. The position may be assigned to any tour of duty and may be required to work in various designated areas during any tour of duty. Typically, the positions works independently with general supervision, or works as a team and responsible for laundry duties in the laundry plant.
