Laundry Assistant

About the Role

A working day in this role will involve supporting the comfort, wellbeing, and dignity of residents by ensuring all laundry services are delivered to a high standard within the aged care home. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents and staff, while assisting with the daily operation of the facility’s laundry services.

This includes:

• Compliance to policies and procedures in relation to laundry services and infection control.
• Maintenance of laundry equipment and checking of filtration devices.
• Maintain stock inventory and personal inventory of residents.
• Ironing, mending and tagging of laundry items as necessary.
• Promptly reports problems to the Facility Manager.
• Handles laundry chemicals in accordance with safety information and safe handling techniques.
