Laundry Aide

JOB SUMMARY: Provides laundry services by sorting, folding linen and operating washers and dryers.

Reports to the Director of Food and Support Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collects resident and facility laundry from laundry shoot
• Washes, dries, folds, stacks, and distributes linens.
• Hangs personal clothing on mobile rack.
• Remove lint from dryers. Cleans inside machines and work area.
• Labels resident personal and facility laundry as directed.
• Checks and restocks laundry supplies.
• Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to designated supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
