Job Description

  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create CAM programs
  • Develop tool paths for CNC machines (e.g., Waterjet and Laser Cutting) using CAM software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or Mastercam
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and workholding strategies
  • Simulate and verify NC programs using tools like CGTech Vericut to ensure accuracy and avoid collisions
  • Collaborate with design engineers and machinists to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times
  • Maintain revision control and documentation for programs, setup sheets, and tooling instructions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes and workflow efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support during production
