General Description
The Lands-Based Educator & Cultural Education Lead is an educational and cultural leader within the classroom and the broader school community. This professional ensures that outdoor and environmental curriculum guidelines are delivered in a way that commits to equity, diversity, inclusivity, and high expectations for student learning. The role is deeply rooted in Mi'kmaw culture, traditions, and the local Sipekne'katik context. In addition to delivering instruction, this educator serves as a cultural lead, organizing school-wide functions, coordinating community involvement, and demonstrating strong leadership in Indigenous land-based education.
