Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to both the Chair, and Associate Chair for Laborary Operations, and being supervised by the Supervisor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Laboratories, the Laboratory Technologist is jointly responsible for creating, operating and maintaining a safe and professional laboratory environment. This is accomplished by acquiring and maintaining proficiency in the safe operation of laboratory equipment and by performing high-quality equipment and facility repair, maintenance, modernization and fabrication, using a broad set of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and computer application skills.

The incumbent will also act as a technical advisor to students, staff and faculty. The incumbent will be a joint participant in the University Health and Safety Program within the laboratory.
