JOB TITLE: Laboratory Technician - Routine Microbiology - Fixed Term BUSINESS UNIT: Food Ingredients FUNCTION: Perform testing in the Microbiology Laboratory REPORTING TO: Senior microbiologist LOCATION: Nenagh PURPOSE: Microbiological testing of samples MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Collecting samples from the Production plants. Performing timely analytical testing in Microbiology Laboratory. Ensuring that all documentation is completed correctly to the approved procedures. Identifying and highlighting any issues to the appropriate manager. Following through with issues to achieve a resolution. Participating in and providing support to investigation and project teams. Assisting in the resolution of quality problems as required. To assist in the upkeep and maintenance of internal and external standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP). High level of laboratory housekeeping.
