LABORATORY ASSISTANT 2 – METALLURGICAL LAB

Location: Kamloops, Metallurgy

Reports to: Manager, Metallurgical Lab

General Accountability

Using standard procedures, the laboratory assistant performs all Paint Pigment Grinding, assists with laboratory testing including flotation, cyanidation and pilot plant operations.

Specific Responsibilities

• Knowledge of grind calibrations and laser sizings
• Operate 25Kg mill to conduct Paint Pigment Grinding
• In training to operate and perform maintenance on flotation machines, cyanide leach rolls, stirred mills, Knelson/Falcon separators, magnetic separator, scales, compressors, filtration system, pH meters.
