Labor Doctor Job Responsibilities Primary care and immediate response in first aid, initial assessment of incidents or ailments, patient stabilization, transfer decision (hospital/IMSS) – does not replace hospital care, only stabilizes the patient. Occupational health surveillance, medical examinations: Pre‑employment (if applicable), Periodic (according to risk), return to work. Monitoring of general illnesses that impact work, occupational diseases. Risk prevention (STPS code), identification of health risks. Evaluation of workplace conditions: ergonomics, lighting, work‑related stress, control recommendations. Incident and accident management: accident registration, cause investigation, trend analysis. Health and wellness programs such as health campaigns, vaccinations, basic checkups, prevention (diabetes, hypertension).
