Job Description
It is a rotating shift (1st: 7a-3p, 2nd: 3p-11p, 3rd: 11p-7a) that alternates every 2 weeks and covers vacations. There is a rotating schedule for weekends and will be expected to work one Saturday and one Sunday at least per month. Hours sit between 40-50hrs per week. 12 hours shifts are a possibility, but only due to lack of staff or unique mechanical issues in the mill.
Job Duties: Prepare process and finished product samples; perform analytical testing using instrumental, wet chemistry procedures, and record results using computerized data systems. Performs daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned. Maintains samples of tested product in order to confirm test results, if necessary. Documents results of all testing procedures and promptly notifies operations of required adjustments. Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
