Lab Patient Technician

Status: Part‑Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturdays in Welland PSC or Niagara Falls PSC 6:45 AM – 1:00 PM.

Location: Any of the PSCs located in Welland, Port Colborne, Fort Erie or Niagara Falls (Float position).

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients, request required information, explain specimen collection process and ensure test protocol compliance.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect Holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
• Collect special test specimens (medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials) and complete documentation.
• Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries and follow up on requests.
• Enter patient demographics and requisition information into the system.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.
