Overview Lab Med Tech Shift options: 3(12)s or 7 on 7 off. 7 on 7 off consists of 3(12)s and 4(10)s. BLS and 2 years exp and ASCP Full-time, Contract Qualifications Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' exp Must be a registered Laboratory Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or American Medical Technologists Type of equipment: Ortho 7600, Ortho 5600, Ortho Vision, Sysmex 1000, Sysmex CA600, ID Now, Clinitek Advantus, MedTox, iStat, Bactec Automated Medication dispensing system: Unknown per dept EMR (Epic, Cerner, etc): RMPS Responsibilities Performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to determine presence of normal and abnormal components; performs blood group, type and compatibility tests, studies cells and morphology Performs and reviews quality controls in testing; decides if results are within acceptable ranges, researches problems and corrects.
