SUMMARY:
Mine near Pilanesberg area requires a Lab Assistant POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
- National Certificate or Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a mining, mineral processing, or analytical laboratory is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Familiarity with sample preparation techniques and laboratory equipment
- Receive, log, label, and track geological, metallurgical, environmental, and production samples.
- Prepare samples for analysis through drying, crushing, splitting, pulverizing, screening, and weighing.
- Assist laboratory technicians and chemists with routine chemical and physical analyses.
