The KS5 Inclusion, Attendance and Development Officer plays a key role in improving attendance, removing barriers to learning, and supporting the progression of disadvantaged and SEND pupils in KS5. The role involves daily monitoring of attendance, identifying pupils of concern, and taking timely action in collaboration with pastoral teams and families. The postholder maintains the vulnerable pupil register, conducts structured conversations to identify academic and pastoral needs, and delivers targeted, evidence‑informed interventions. They also provide administrative support for Sixth Form progression processes, including UCAS and apprenticeship applications. Central to the role is upholding safeguarding responsibilities and promoting the school’s Catholic ethos, ensuring every pupil is known, supported and able to thrive.
