Job Description

SUMMARY:


Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Kitchen Steward is responsible for setting-up, cleaning, maintaining and organizing the kitchen and kitchen equipment and acting as a buffet runner and carver during events. They may also assist with light food prep when required. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for the kitchen and food service work areas and assists with events:

  • Clean and organize all dishes and kitchen equipment in Café and outlet kitchen areas

  • Clean and organize all dishes and equipment in banquet kitchen and storage areas

  • Assist with event set up

  • Light prep including peeling/chopping of vegetables and fruits (may be asked to complete simple recipes
  • Complete all closing duties for the kitchen and banquet offices:

  • Clean and sanitize the dishwasher and surrounding areas;
