Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance/help to Immediate Superiors for the achievement of Quality objectives.
  • Understanding of core Internet protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, POP3 etc.).
  • Experience of supporting some or all of the following web technologies: Apache; IIS; JBoss/J2EE Application Servers; MySQL.
  • VMware/virtualization technologies.
  • An understanding of load balancing technologies.
  • An understanding of server Virtualisation technologies.
  • Performance tuning of systems: system, network and applications.
  • Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures.
  • Netapp NAS technology.
  • Working experience with intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with software and security architecture.
  • Knowledge in supporting ORACLE ERP R13.
  • Ensures information regarding system downtime/problem/resolutions done are properly disseminated...
