Junior Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities Source and procure goods, materials, and services Build and manage strong supplier relationships Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules Process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries Maintain accurate procurement records and data Collaborate with internal sales teams on material requirements Monitor supplier performance and compliance Assist with inventory management and stock control Compile procurement reports and identify cost-saving opportunities Technical & Product Knowledge Develop expertise in fasteners, grades, coatings, and specifications (e.g. 8.8 / 10.9 / B7 / SS304 / SS316) Understand ISO, DIN, and ASTM standards Recommend alternative solutions when stock is unavailable Gain insight into applications across engineering, manufacturing, mining, and construction industries Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) 23 years experience in procurement/purchasing (fasteners, engineering, or industrial supply preferred) Strong negotiation and c...
