Junior Lifeguard Assistant

I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities

The Lifeguard Assistant is a junior, supportive waterfront role that assists certified Lifeguards in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive aquatic environment. This position supports waterfront and boating programs while developing foundational skills in supervision, safety awareness, and inclusive participant support. The Lifeguard Assistant works under the direct supervision of certified Lifeguards and does not perform independent lifeguarding duties. Guest safety and adherence to CNIB Lake Joe waterfront procedures are central to this role.

II. Essential Functions

The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:
