Junior Access and Privacy Officer

• Receives and respond to requests for information from the public, the media, researchers, lawyers, provincial and federal government agencies.
• Identifies records and information that are excluded from disclosure by researching relevant Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) decisions and case law.
• Administers the intake process for access to information requests, including the receipt and tracking of requests, clarification with applicants, and obtaining necessary consent and additional pertinent documents, as required.
• Identifies and provides notification to third parties who may be affected by the potential release of the requested records and transfer requests to other public bodies as required.
