Java/Scala Software Engineer - Remote in México

Your Role

You will collaborate with a top client in the travel Industry to build new Java services, a suite of backend microservices (reservation, cart, search, itinerary, ship/port/configuration, promotion, notifications, CMS, and more) that the consumer websites, the booking engines, and the mobile apps all depend on; and migrate existing Scala/Play services to Java, and keep a high‑traffic production platform reliable through that transition.

Your Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
• 4+ years building production backend services in Java 11+ (preferably Java 17)
• Strong command of the language and the JVM (concurrency, memory, profiling).
• Experience in Spring Framework (mainly Spring Boot)
• Working experience in Scala (must be able to read and understand to perform migration to Java)
• Experience in RESTful API design & JSON; to build and consume service‑to‑service APIs.
