Job Details:
Java software engineer to support the Chantilly, VA medical laboratory. The primary responsibility is to design and code instrument interfaces that automate communication between laboratory instruments and our software systems. Onsite technical evaluation is needed to understand how the instruments communicate and to design solutions to automate the communication and the evaluation of the data that is transmitted.
Roles and Responsibilities:
" Evaluate instrument interfacing specifications using vendor documentation. May require direct communication with vendors and laboratory SMEs to understand the technical requirements.
" Design, code, and unit test instrument interfaces. Interfaces will be built into existing frameworks that utilize object-oriented design principles.
