The purpose of the role is to provide a critical support service which will enable the safe and efficient running of Aberdeen City Council’s educational properties. This will require team members to work in collaboration with colleagues from Integrated Children’s and Family Services, from other Facilities Management services in our schools, and with Building Services colleagues and/or sub-contractors to achieve the required outcomes.

From 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above (teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above). The Council will initially pay the PVG membership cost (£18 for existing PVG members or £59 for non-members), and this cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
